Dance Fire’s Youth Recital Celebrates Growing Confidence and Community

Dance Fire’s Youth Spring Recital brought families together in Niskayuna on June 7, 2026, to celebrate the work of our young dancers. Thirty-six children participated, with more than 100 people in the audience supporting their performances.

A growing youth dance community

Our first recital in 2018 included 11 children. This year’s event offered another opportunity to see the program grow and to celebrate dancers becoming more confident on the floor.

The recital included our youth DanceSport program, Baby Ballet for ages two to four, and Hip Hop. DanceSport brings partnering, posture, musicality, and teamwork into the learning experience, while each class gives children its own way to explore movement and expression.

Memories from the recital

Thank you to the dancers, instructors, and families who supported the event. A special thank you to Julia Kaczmarski for photographing these moments.

Find a class for your child

This article looks back at the June recital. For current classes and age groups, explore our kids dance program. Ask the studio about an appropriate starting point for your child’s age, interests, and experience; a recital is a milestone to work toward, not a requirement for getting started.
