Dance Fire’s Summer Showcase Celebrates Performance and Progress

Dance Fire’s 2026 Summer Showcase Spectacular & Progress Check celebrated the preparation, creativity, and progress of our dancers. Showcase performers combined their dancing with storytelling and acting, giving each routine its own character.

Performing and learning

Guest judge David Hamilton judged the showcases and provided helpful feedback to Progress Check participants. The event gave dancers a chance to share their work while gaining experience and a fresh perspective on their dancing.

Thank you to every performer and to the Dance Masters who prepared students, developed routines, and supported the event.

The team behind the day

Donovan served as Master of Ceremonies, with Sara and student Colin Ellis stepping in while he was dancing. Tom handled the music as DJ. Olga and Celene provided professional hair and makeup services, Tamara assisted the judge, and Desire encouraged our students throughout the event.

We also thank Nicholas Dwarika for the professional videos and Gary McPherson for photographing our performers. Their work helps preserve these studio milestones.

Interested in a showcase or Progress Check?

Performance and feedback can be different goals: a showcase offers an opportunity to present a prepared routine, while this event’s Progress Check included feedback from the guest judge. Ask Dance Fire about preparing for a future event and which format fits your interests.
